charged for 0870

why am i charged for an 0870 number at the weekend when its supposed to be free?

This is what BT say.  I think it's the same for Plusnet

So some 0870 numbers are never free.

Which call plan are you on?
Depending upon when you signed up, if you are on LSR, there are no included call periods.

Go to the saynoto0870 website.
You may find an unadvertised 0800 number.

Yup, sometimes I wonder where I keep my brains!  There again, he could be like me, I nearly never use my land line other than for calling 0870 & 0845 numbers, as I have more minutes than I can use on the mobile plan and those numbers cost a king's ransom on mobiles.
