are calls on Talk Evening and Weekends free at them times ?

I took out broadband with plusnet, but I noticed on my account page it says I have 'talk evenings and weekends', does this mean free calls to specific numbers at those times?  or will I still be charged?

Yep, calls to local/national/international (top 20 destinations) are free during those times, take a look at this page for more detail: http://www.plus.net/residential/tariffs/homephone.html

Welcome to the Forum.
Did you sign up for that?  it is possible but it is extra to the Broadband.
the free calls are to 0845, (not 0844 etc) 0870 (again not 0871)  01, 02, 03 not clear on that link given 
the call are free for 59 mins, after that you are charged, so stop the call and redial
