Yet another Caller ID malfunction

I am a new PlusNet user after transferring from Sky on November 10 2014. I have the Anytime International 300 phone package with Caller id, and there's the rub - caller id doesn't work despite a year using it with Sky and several years before that with O2.
Support seem unable to resolve the issue and are convinced that it has been activated.
This doesn't seem to be an unusual problem with new PlusNet users, is it simply incorrect setup or is there another explanation?
Whatever the reason can anyone suggest how I can get this to work?

Welcome to the Forums and to Plusnet!
Sorry to hear the Caller Display feature seems to not be working following your migration to Plusnet. The feature was requested as part of the migration, however, following your conversation with our support team this morning the feature was removed from your line to then be re-added to see if this would resolve the issue. Please allow 24 hours for the feature to be re-added on your line. If it's still not working please do let us know and we'll investigate that further.
I'd advise trying the following tomorrow:
Check if the service is active on the line by dialling *#234# . If there is an announcement to state that the service is disabled, please try enabling it by dialling *234#

Took your advice and Caller ID is now working ... Thanks.
My only observation is that it took 3 calls to Support before anyone took ownership of my problem. It might be expected that with a number of people reporting the same trouble that all the Support reps would be advised on how to deal with it. A first call fix would result.
