Will my Plusnet Hub 2 continue to work in an extension socket if I drop the landline at renewal?

Apologies for the length, but here's the background for completeness:
My current broadband & landline is coming up for renewal at the end of December. I am considering renewing with just a broadband contract (no landline). The current contract is FTTC (“part fibre”).
Currently my Plusnet Hub 2 is plugged into an extension socket in the study (about 6 meters from the Master socket by the front door). I get about 65Mb/s download with the router plugged into the study socket, which is plenty for my needs. I want to keep the router in the study because I want to retain a wired Ethernet cable to my PC (in the study).
Will this configuration (i.e. router plugged into an extension socket) still work if I take out a new contract without the landline?
I can't see why it wouldn't, but would appreciate any reassurance that can be offered.
Thanks. in advance!
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Yes.
That is, it will continue to work as there is no reason why it should not.

Yes it will continue to work as is, if your new contract is SOGEA - that’s the same as your current FTTP service without the PTSN/POTS phone service.
If you change to FTTP (aka full fibre) then a new connection will be installed which might present the opportunity of putting the point of termination in a more suitable location.
