I used to get dozens of these. Sometimes 3 or 4 a day. I bought a set of BT phones which have a nuisance call blocking system. Since buying them about 15 months ago they have worked 100% for me. Not a single nuisance call, best 90 quid I've spent for a long time!

90 quid....are you out of your mind????

Why pay for a "service" (line rental etc.) when your provider couldn't care less about your privacy and quality of life? Which IMO includes a cold caller blocker....included in the horrendous line rental fees.

No I am not. I am a pragmatist (sometimes) and realise that on occasion if you have a problem and there is a solution available then you can use it or you can put up with your problem. I chose the former option at a cost admittedly but there you are - my choice.

I paid around about £90 (might have been a bit less) for a brand new quad set of telephones that I have been very happy with. I have a monthly oncost of 99pence for caller line identification which allows my new telephones to identify the caller and intervene or pass the call straight through as appropriate.

I'm happy, but certainly not gah gah.
