Voice service dead but broadband fine

Done the test of normal analog phone directly into the master socket.  Dead as a dodo.  Started earlier today.  Filled in form to report it and apparently it's gonna be 17 hours before anyone can even read my ticket.  I'm a little shocked to be honest.  It used to be a great deal faster when I was directly renting the line from BT.  Though I guess I am paying a little less now.  Thank goodness for mobiles Cheesy

My ticket got taken "off hold" yesterday but still no service.  I think OpenReach were only actually notified of the problem after my ticket was taken off hold, which rather seems to mean that one has to factor in the extra 3 days of on-hold time with PlusNet on top of the normal time taken for OpenReach to deal with any problem.  I now need to work out whether the small price difference between renting from BT and renting from PlusNet is actually going to make up for the extra 3 days I will have needed to make calls on my mobile phone, since I don't get included free minutes as I usually use my landline for calls.

Hi IngeJones,
Our suppliers informed us that your phone line was being affected as part of a Major Service Outage and that it's now been resolved. Can you confirm that you now have a dialtone and can make outgoing and receive incoming calls?
If this isn't resolved we'll need to re-raise this to our suppliers for further investigation.

I still have no dial tone, and attempting to call in with mobile I can hear the ringing signal on my mobile until it goes to 1571 service.  Picking up the landline while attempting to phone home from mobile does not cause a connection.  Should I update my ticket with this info or would that just send me to the back of the queue again?
