Unstable Broadband on Noisy Line

My phone line is now so noisy that I can't make phone calls because of the noise. Tested the line using the Plusnet trouble-shooter and it failed (message in screen said Ooops contact Plusnet). Did this but gave up after waiting a very long time. Decided to use the Plusnet/BTW speed tester. When the test worked, my speed varied between 1.8 and 7.6Mb.

Can I face sitting on the phone for another endless call?

If it was the phone troubleshooter it might still have logged a fault. Log into your account and check for open tickets. You must get the phone fault addressed first and you will probably find that this cures the broadband issue.
