I moved in to my current home in October and set up a BT Together Option1 contract at that time. I have been with PN for years for my broadband connection. I would now like to transfer to PN Home Phone. Will I be charged a cancellation fee by BT for the remainder of the one year contract?

Yes!
You'll be charged £70 or the remainder of your 12 months, whichever is the lesser.
Best is to wait till October - unless you're prepared to pay BT's charges.
See this page of the BT Price List under "Early Termination Charges for Residential PSTN Lines" near the foot of the page.
Edit: If you signed up for this special offer the £70 ceiling doesn't apply (it generally doesn't apply on any of BT's special offers) and you'll need to pay the total line rental remaining.
Another thing to note is that they charge line rental at the full rate (without paper free discounts etc.) when working out how much you owe them.

Thanks for your quick reply. I might as well be patient and wait until October to do the switch.
