SMS from landline

I'm wondering since changing from BT to PN, whether I need to reset the SMS service centre number in the (Gigaclear) phone?  Peering into phone settings appears to be "17094009", which is set as SMS Centre 1, as default. There's an unused SMS Centre 2 of 0800 587529.

Must admit, though my landline was registered with BT to receive SMS, often found that it didn't arrive as an SMS but as an indecipherable computer speak message Sad

Re: SMS from landline

I'm (nearly 100%) certain that the (service centre) numbers are the same as on BT - I believe it's all run by BT Wholesale for Plusnet.

I think what's advised here should work on a Plusnet line: http://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8593/~/im-having-problems-with-bt-text
