SMS Text messaging

My alarm system has a text message faciliy which sends me a text message if my alarm has a problem. My BT phoneline does this ok but i'm being charged to have this facility, does PN offer this facility & if so is there a monthly charge.
Thanks

Re: SMS Text messaging

If BT charge, I would imagine Plus.net will do as I believe they simply resell the BT services for this.

Re: SMS Text messaging

but they don't offer all the same services, so it's a question of whether they offer it or not.

Re: SMS Text messaging

Hi pbg75,
Is this facility something that you've set up through BT and do they charge you monthly for this? Or is the facility something you set up on your alarm system and BT just charge you as and when this is used?
As far as I'm aware we don't offer a "feature" that we charge a monthly cost for. Information regarding what charges we have for call/text services can be found here: http://www.plus.net/home-broadband/tariffs/

Re: SMS Text messaging

Read my post here.
I haven't set up a subscription service and just get charged 10p per text.
My phone service is with Plusnet.
