Ring delay on voip, any answers?

HI , i have a yamamoto USB deskphone, set up with the correct driver for x-lite. My plusnet bandwidth test shows about 1.8 to 1.95 Mbps pretty regularly
My voip runs fine except for when somebody calls me, i will answer it, the call stops ringing my end but carries on ringing for 4 to 6 rings at the callers end..... anyone know what can be done to resolve this?
cheers
mark

Hi Mark,
Perhaps you could post a screen-grab of your settings. One thing you might want to make sure of is that you have the relevant ports forwarded in your router. I'd also suggest the use of a Stun server:

TBH, I'm not sure how your hardware interacts with X-Lite (do you need to use both??).

I guess the usb phone is acting as a headset.
opening ports on both router and software firewall will definitely help with delay, also there are your QOS (quality of service)settings in the router to increase the voip services priority over your bandwidth.
Handy if your dloading while on the phone or your part of a network.
