Retaining existing BT phone number on transfer

Hi, I have just joined Broadband and phone from Plusnet today but I have received a text message saying that my number  is different from my existing BT number.

How do I ensure that I keep the same number

Is this message just an error or do I need to be chase it up with Plusnet

Can you please update me as to what is happening with my request to retain my existing landline number on transfer from BT to plusnet.

I have had a letter from plusnet advising that as one of plusnets customers is moving to my address they want to take over my existing line number (I'm NOT moving by the way - I just want to keep my existing number). The letter also advises that if I'm happy with this then I don't need to do anything!

This is a bit confusing but I assume that I do not need to do anything 

So can someone please update me

Sorry for any confusion caused.

I'm not sure why you've received that letter but it won't have any affect on the transfer.

I've replaced the orders today to keep your number and we should have a confirmed date in the next 24 to 48 hours
