Recommended Telephone Instrument:

Crazy
This issue has driven me crazy, batty bananas!!
What type of Telephone Instrument must I use for the Plusnet telphone service.
I have tried 2 cordless instruments with no result. Have had Plusnet investigate the issue who have now informed myself to use a Cord ed telephone and not a portable or cordless telephone. This situation has already cost myself a small fortune just getting conneted to make and receive phone calls and allthis before the Broadband modem has arrived!
What do the existing Plusnet customers suggest and recommend.
Many thanks. Cheesy

Re: Recommended Telephone Instrument:

you can use either, provided that they have filters fitted, I have a dect cordless next to the router with three handsets and three wired one in remote rooms, no trouble at all they all work, so does my broadband

Re: Recommended Telephone Instrument:

munatau2,
Welcome from the staff here at Plusnet too. We don't really need to add to what pierre_pierre has said but any standard telephone should work fine as long as it's connected to a broadband filter. Do feel free to come back to us if you are still having problems with this.
Adam.

Hi again,
When you say a Broadband filter by this would you mean.... the Micro Filter ?
Thanks for responding.

Re: Recommended Telephone Instrument:

I use a dect cordless with 2 handsets and one hard wired, both with filters and have had no problems!

Re: Recommended Telephone Instrument:

Similar here. Corded handset on answerphone/base station and two cordless handsets connecting back to it. Answerphone/base station and router both connected via ADSL filter to BT socket with added iPlate (to eliminate interference affecting broadband speed from now unused extension wiring). All works fine.
