Re: Quick voice line test

Thanks Matty C for keeping an eye on things.
Hope your right, however its not out of the question that the FTTC service will go dark as well this afternoon.
Has CS tried calling the dead line ?
There are no spare pairs around here and its usually the BTO under ground cable crew that required for installs.
Fingers crossed though, that were not still chasing this up next.

Re: Quick voice line test

The line that is your number does ring. I think we are all suspecting the same thing here.
But again lets keep our fingers crossed.

Re: Quick voice line test

Good news,
Its a exchange wiring/route issue. {cough openreach mistake, cough}
Back up and running.
Line back with us from 14.45 for plusnets billing/credit records.
Thanks again to the PN Care team for the swift appointments.

Re: Quick voice line test

This sounds like another glorious Openreach cock-up. If you still had a working FTTC connection, it sounds like your line from the Cab was OK and an engineer disconnected your line from the exchange, that provides the phone service (the "E" side), at the Cab and connected it to someone else's line from the Cab (the "D" side).
The fact that Openreach in particular never seem to deal with these issues urgently is disgusting. I hope this got resolved on your engineer visit, but as you haven't posted back, I'm wondering
When the whole sorry saga is over, I suggest you complain to OFCOM about Openreach's mess up. Don't be fobbed of with any "contact your provider" nonsense, tell them you have, and how long it took for Openreach to fix it. Tell them you want your complaint logged and a reference number.

@  Anotherone.
Yes its all sorted now thanks & your were correct about the line being jumpered incorrectly.
@CS
Its getting close to billing date, will those calls that occurred due to the fault be credited back before the end of this cycle?
Kind regards

Re: Quick voice line test

Seems a few of the newer CS are out of the office ?
Could one of the old school crew such as  Bob P,  Kelly  or Adam Walker  take a quick look at ticket #90955227.
Its getting close to billing cycle & it does seem not very sporting that I'm having to stand the cost of the calls made by  BTO's  dodgy jumpering between concentrator and MDF.
Kind regards Smiley

Re: Quick voice line test

The later on the PM as its way under the calls cost liability.
I'm sure one more seasoned member of the plusnet team will pick this up. Wink
Or the newbies will run it by there leads Smiley

Re: Quick voice line test

Thanks MattyC
Will a service note be added ?
I see one already for the loss of service, will another be added to for a credit against the calls.
We all know plusnet's billing scripts can be temperamental to say the least Wink
Kind regards.

Re: Quick voice line test

Thanks MattyC
I see another CS team member has added a note.
Added a few extra details as  I still don't fully understand the refund /credit process and what amount the billing system is going to take.
Thanks for the updates
Kind regards
