Porting landline number from BT to PlusNet

Is it possible to transfer an existing BT phone number (currently billed by a 3rd party provider) to a new PlusNet line at a different address? The new address is literally one street away so almost certainly would be within the same cabinet.

It'll depend if your new address is served by the same exchange.

If you PM me your current address, new address and telephone number I'll see if I can check this?
