Plusnet Call Protect Can you Block International calls?

Have just activated PlusNet Call Direct and am trying to find out how to block International Calls ( somewhere I read you can do this)    I phoned the 1572 number but could find nothing there or in my Phone Management page?

I find the PlusNet instructions for using this service very vague and not user friendly.

Has anyone done this?

Found it!  I did an online chat with PlusNet and even the agent found it difficult to find the answer.  You have to dial the 1572 number and go for Option 4.  Then go for the 'press 3' and wait for voice to mention barring International calls and then to switch this option ON.

I did suggest to the agent that we need more written information on the website about what all the options on the 1572 number contain and provide and she agreed as she had to go to the BT site to get the information.

It is on the PN site, but hard to find!

I did not find this easy to understand and it is listed under the heading of 1471??   Where has PlusNet's 'easy to understand English' policy gone?

They need to have a heading   'Understanding PlusNet Call Protect'  and list:

1) How to turn it on

2) How to use 1572 options

We should not have to search around the website to find information and even the PlusNet agent could not find it and have to go to the BT website to find info!!

Hi @deefadog

If you dial 1572 from your handset you'll get the main menu for Plusnet Call Protect.

Following the options through on the menu will allow you to configure PCP to your individual preferences, including the option to bar all international numbers if you wish.

So i understand when set up international calls will go straight to the Junk voice mail. Will my handset show any signs of a call, or nothing at all?

Blocked calls shouldn't reach your handset in the first instance, so there'd be nothing at all.

Hi,

I am still having issues, i hope you can help with, i have turned on the international call barring (doubled checked it's on) But we are still receiving the calls to the landline.

Is there anyone that can check this for me please?

Thanks, how long a go was it since you enabled the international call barring? If that was more than a few hours ago it might be worth us removing the service from your account and adding it. Doing so would mean being without for a few more hours potentially. - Adam

I did it last Wednesday, but saw an international call coming through today, so checked again and it was active? So does not seem to work for some reason
