Be prepared to watch the tumbleweed go by.
My phone has been out of service completely for a week now - don't expect anything to happen any time soon. My extra problem is that I have my elderly mother living with me and she isn't happy to be left home alone without a phone "in case of emergencies". This means that it looks like I'll now have to cancel my New Year holiday break. Thanks Plus net!

Although the phone is out I am getting some intervals when the broadband is working. So I have told some contacts to email if needed.
It's very peaceful right now!

My broadband is pretty much ok - it's just the "talkie" bit that's jiggered. Unfortunately, last time I told my mum she had to get hold of a mouse she went to the fridge for a hunk of cheese so although the email option may be fine for me it wouldn't work for her. Enjoy a peaceful holiday

So's mine - 9 days now. This is disgraceful service.

Phone back in action. A cable had been cut - presumably during some building work in our road - several properties had been affected. These things happen!
