Phone only

Been shopping around with a friend of mine (no, really) and because plusnet service at least seems to have been pretty good we thought we'd check out their phone line only prices - but  all attempts seem to direct him away from the advertised £18.99 a month 'phone only' cost towards other bolt on packages as well as that not wanted broadband.

So where's the deal, is it possible to get just a phone line without broadband or anything else he's not asked for, or what?

I'm guessing he's going to have to hunt down another provider.

No, frayed knot.

PN are a broadband supplier who then started to offer phone service as well.

But you can't have phone alone, and broadband without phone is £2·50 extra.

It's called progress or something...
