Phone line fault - this is a nightmare

Guys - our phone has stopped working since yesterday - its a bit of a lifeline really - we need this back up and running ASAP

 

I done the test this morning and said there was a fault on the line and you'd be back to me within 1-3 days....

Can I ask - I see others were able to get diagnosics feedback etc: what is wrong with our line and does it depend on an engineer coming out to the cabinet near me or something???

Really need our phone up and going ASAP!

Fault location: EX
Description: FAULT - EXCHANGE EQUIPMENT FAULTY

The fault itself has actually already been assigned to an engineer to visit the exchange, it's likely that as it's an exchange issue that Openreach were already aware of it.

Thank you Chris - hopefully the guys get it sorted soon.

Is plusnet always my point of contact - or would it be BT/Openreach - if the problem were to run onwards over a course of days?

It'd be ourselves, we'd be the ones to contact Openreach for updates etc.
