Phone line dead

I’ve been having issues with the phone line recently.
Firstly it started ringing once then stopping (at random times, middle of night etc).
Now since last week it has no dial tone at all, I’ve tested phone in the master socket etc still nothing. Tried trouble shooting test, the ‘result is unclear’.

Fibre broadband is currently fine, just cannot use home phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Tried troubleshooter first before posting here. Took cover off master socket, plugged phone in directly to test. No dial tone. Unfortunately it’s becomes an endless cycle as results are inconclusive try again later.
Hoping someone from Plusnet can test the line for me.

@steve2903 As you have run the test, and had that 'inconclusive' message, it is just possible it has already flagged it up and created a ticket on your account. If you log in, is there a new 'question' on your home page?

I don't seem to be able to find the questions page that used to be there with all open / answered previous tickets.

Have they moved it from the dashboard?

Yep, they have deleted that page in the name of 'improved functionality', but if there is an open question, it should appear on your 'Home' screen.

I’m that case, no question on the Home Screen.

In that case, sadly, all I can suggest is you give them a ring via mobile. It is possible, but unlikely that tis topic  may get spotted and acted on.

I'm sorry to hear your phone line isn't working.

I've tested your line this evening and found an Earth Contact fault on the line which has been reported to our suppliers.

Reporting back to say engineer has completed the works. Everything appears to be working fine so far.
