Phone installation in 2 weeks?

Hi all
Ive signed up for home phone and fibre at our new address. The home phone was connected until last residents moved out yet we are having to another 2 weeks before phone is active along with the fibre installation on 10th September. I don't have a problem with the fibre being installed in 2 weeks but 2 weeks for the phone? Is this normal?

Hi Lee,
It looks like my colleague placed a simultaneous order to get the phone and fibre up and running for the same day.
What would probably have been more sensible, is to have placed the phone order first (usually takes around 24 hours to complete) and then place the fibre order once we could confirm that the phone line was working. So my apologies that this wasn't done. I have fed back on the agent that placed your order.
I can still do this for you, and get your phone line up and active by Monday if you like. However it'll probably be unlikely that we'd still get the 10th as an engineer date for your fibre.
Let me know if you want to do this, and I'll cancel and replace your orders.

Just leave it as it is, can't say it's an encouraging start.
