Re: Phone charge no mobile signal

On bt they have a free service called BT Call Protect.

BT Call Protect – a clever bit of technology that helps prevent nuisance calls. It’s easy to switch on and free for BT customers.

Once on, we’ll monitor for known nuisance callers and automatically divert them for you. If there’s a particular number you don’t want to hear from again, you can add them to your personal blacklist to send future calls to your junk voicemail.

Plus, if there’s a category of numbers you don’t want to hear from – like international, withheld or unrecognised numbers – you can send them straight to junk voicemail.

I don't know if PN does it but I think they should if they are owned by bt.

PN, where did it all go wrong ?

Plusnet do provide the Call Protect service and it is free https://www.plus.net/help/phone/stop-nuisance-calls/

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Phone charge no mobile signal

Well my Add Call Features panel must be different from yours,

Anonymous Call £4.00 per month,

If a caller withholds their number, they won't be able to call you.

That seems to be the only applicable option.

@K8

Looking at the information MisterW linked, do you have a crime reference number? If so give that to Plusnet and the fee to change your number should be waived. However...

There is always a chance your ex will discover your new number so I'd suggest using Call Protect and adding the callers number(s) to your personal blacklist might be the better way.

Attached is screenshot of my Phone control panel , Call Features. As you can see Call Protect is there as an option at a cost of £0.00

Re: Phone charge no mobile signal

Anonymous Call IS £4.00/month BUT Plusnet Call Protect is clearly shown as £0.00/month

Re: Phone charge no mobile signal

That might explain the difference!. I assume the OP is a Domestic rather than a Business customer and therefore should have the Call Protect option.

Re: Phone charge no mobile signal

I'm sorry to hear of your situation @K8

I'd like to call you to discuss this further, is there a best contact number and time?

Please send me a private message.

Plusnet Call Protect is only available on residential packages.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
