Phone addition

Why must I always dial 1280 before the number I want?
There was a call to me but no reply number, therefore...

Re: Phone addition

Something is adrift - where did you move your phone from
The odds are you will be charged for all the calls

Re: Phone addition

Hi ngauge, welcome to the forum. I'm not clear exactly what you are either asking or saying!
Have you recently transferred your Phone Service to Plusnet or in the process of doing so?
If not who do you pay your Line rental to?
Dialling 1280 routes your calls through BT Retail. I'm wondering if you pay line rental to BT Retail but have a Carrier Pre-select Service from another Provider and are choosing to route some calls via BT Retail?
On the last point, whoever your Provider, you can receive calls from any one where there won't be a number to return the call because it's either been with-held or was not available (International usually).

Re: Phone addition

I think Anotherone has nailed it there, we've had another case of this recently. I'll give our provisioning team a heads up as we'll need to get this escalated to get the service removed (it should have been removed as part of the order to move the line across).
