Phone Bill.

Just wondering something.  I have been charged £1.43 for a 7minute and 55 seconds phone call (of which the majority of the time I was kept waiting in a queue) to MyDentist yet I have a call allowance of 55 minutes.  The phone number I called is, 01938 (which is Welshpool in Wales) 552222, which is in the neighbouring town to me.   Is this right?

Thanks in advance.

Some confusion here I think.

Unless you have a calling package, calls are charged at 15p per minute, rounded up to the next whole minute.

So that's 8 × 15p = £1·20 plus 23p call set up fee = £1·43.

When you say 55 minutes perhaps you're thinking of the £55 credit limit

£55 credit, not minutes!
