Phantom call to 123

My latest phone bill shows a 33p call to 123, lasting 1 second. However this is my holiday property and was unoccupied at the time. The phone line is not connected to any devices, and no-one else has a key. I read on the BT Forum that calls to 123 may be caused by a bug in the system. How can I go about getting a refund and ensuring that such calls do not re-occur? My Plusnet account name is paulworiordan.
Regards,
Paul

Re: Phantom call to 123

Hi Paul, I recommend you raise a complaint on this one; I've seen reports of engineers dialing '123' to test a line - someone may have been working on neighboring lines and connected to yours in error. As these are chargeable calls examples need to be collected and raised.
Thanks a lot

Re: Phantom call to 123

Paul,
We've had 3 phantom calls to 123 also, when no-one was in the property, perhaps this is the same thing. After calling customer services they're reimbursing as an act of good will.
So you're not alone and you have probably solved the mystery here!
