Paying engineer call out fee when it's plusnet at fault

had fault on phone line reported it plusnet said it would take 4 days to repair , offered to put in place  a transfer to our mobile phone , line repair completed and phone working however after a few days discovered the we were not receiving any incoming calls , contacted customer services 45 min wait tried all the usual checked socket checked phone nothing found  , agreed to engineer visit , today discovered that the reason we have not been receiving any call was because plusnet had not removed the transfer so calls were not going to our landline contacted customer services 55 min wait only to be told that the engineer visit could not be cancelled and they could not remove the transfer until the engineer had visited and that would be charged £65 , my point is that if plusnet had done their job properly they would have discovered the block on incoming calls when i contacted them with the fault removed it and a visit from an engineer would not have been necessary !!
