PN's default voicemail setting

Having just recently switched my phone + line rental over to PN I see that voicemail is green to go, is that the PN default setting?
With my previous suppliers the default setting for "free" voicemail was off, which in my opinion is more sensible.  Tongue
After some digging around I've learned it takes up to three working days to get it changed, what the .... !

Re: PN's default voicemail setting

Well according to Jess
Whether you're away from home or on another call, Voicemail acts like a built in answerphone to make sure you don't miss a call. Standard Voicemail is included with all our phone packages, but it's not switched on as standard. You can add or remove it at the Phone control panel.
So it should be off by default. Was starting with it on an option on sign-up?

Re: PN's default voicemail setting

I moved from Madasafish to Plusnet by way of a phone call to the COT and as well as a BB product I chose to move the phone over as well (activated Friday 1st Nov) so opted for the LRS and nothing else ..... if my memory serves me right  Smiley

Re: PN's default voicemail setting

I've read in the menber centre that it might only take one working day to get the vm deactivated, that's a lot better if does.

Re: PN's default voicemail setting

It's an option presented during signup, I think it defaults to 'on'.

Re: PN's default voicemail setting

Just checked and the "free" voicemail call feature has been deactivated within a working day. Smiley

Not so sure now what the default setting is after reading 2.1.
which can be found in the attachment below. Undecided

Re: PN's default voicemail setting

I don't think that statement refers to the preselected options in signup, it's more to ensure people know that it needs to be active on your line before you can use it.
