Overhearing problem

Hello, as subject really, I can hear other people on my phone line, don't think they can hear me. This has been the case for quite a while but it hasn't bothered me until I started working from home and using the landline more often.
We've lived at this address since December 2018, the phone line was installed by BT after we bought the house.

Just to clarify - the line rental is paid to Plusnet?

Yes the line rental is paid to Plusnet. Don't know why I think BT installed the line, maybe they didn't! Either way, a new phone line was provided by someone after we moved in!

It would have been Openreach, whether at the behest of BT Retail or Plusnet.
Re the actual problem - it's almost certainly a contact or low insulation in a cable or joint in the external network.
First approach would be to log in to the Member Centre and run the auto troubleshooter here -

OK I ran the troubleshooter and it said:
We haven't found any problems with your phone line.
