Nuisance Caller - International

We are having problems for just over a week now with a "International" nuisance caller (to our landline), it will ring in the morning and then exactly 60 minutes later. As it comes up as International, we don't answer, but the repetition clearly shows its some automatic "nuisance".

As there is no number, 1572 cannot help. Is there anything we can do, other than keep ignoring it?

Buy a call blocking phone or a true call blocker, we have had a BT8500 for a  couple of years and have never had any nuisance calls since it was purchased, it has completely stopped them.

Thanks for the suggestion @Hobo , how does that deal with withheld numbers like this, I assume just blocks them all?

You can program it to block various types of calls including international, withheld etc., when a call from an unknown number comes you are notified and you can choose whether to accept it, numbers that are on your contact list are automatically accepted and come straight through.

@dgilbert2 There is the option on 1572 to block international calls, with VIP exclusions for friends and relatives.

Many thanks @BrightonRock I dialed 1572 and went through to options to switch on the bar for international numbers. Just the job
