Hello,
Our phone line appears to have noise / static on the line when making / receiving call even via the test socket.
The Plusnet tester says it found a fault but gives no real information as to what happens next.
Below is what the supposed fault is;
Fault details
--------------
Fault location: LN
Diagnosis code: T100
Description: FAULT - Earth Contact
Is this something that gets fixed remotely or requires an engineer visit ?

A BT engineer needs to fix this - but it may not require access to your home.

Hi @davidhowell,
I have checked this for you. It's showing an external fault on the line, and Openreach will have an engineer out externally within 48 hours. You don't need to be in for this, as the fault is external.
