No dial tone

My telephone has no dial tone. In an email with plusnet support, they say the line is active. However there is no dial tone even in the main socket. It happened after I spoke to them, on the phone, asking them to cancel my unlimited call plan last Thursday. After assuring me the line is active they have asked me to phone the technical help line. I have no phone so was this meant to be a joke? So basically I'm getting nowhere with them. Luckily I had an open 'Question' which enabled me to communicate with them by e mail, however they only respond every two days, the last response was unhelpful.

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with you phone line. 

 

Looking at your account, I can see we have already raised this to our supplier - and they are on track with rectifying this issue. 

 

The have provided an estimated fix date of 27/09/2018. This is an estimate and the issue may be resolved before this point.

 

Updates will be provided on this ticket.
