No dial tone

Just rejoined PN. Told phone line is connected. Tried it, didn't work. Contacted PN, did all the tests to no avail, including breaking wifes xmas ornament in effort to find test socket. Grr. Engineer to revisit 31st. It's a nightmare, I have been ages waiting for internet. BT have ruined our Xmas. They told us originally that we did not have to be home for connection. Totally stressed and unimpressed. Shall I go or shall I stay.

I'm really sorry to hear that the installation of your phone line hasn't gone to plan. As you've noted, I can see that an engineer is scheduled for 31/12/19 to investigate this for you - please let us know how this goes - we'll be happy to pick up the downtime and an appropriate gesture of goodwill once this is resolved.

Finally got phone and broadband connected, its been a nightmare.

Engineer said It was connected in the green box , but was routed elsewhere.
