No dial tone and inconsistent broadband

I am living in Wendlebury Oxfordshire.

 

I have no dial tone, if anyone rings here,to them it gets engaged tone. Have tried all the advice given online, checking sockets etc, plug in main socket etc.Have ran diagnostics and it says there is a fault within your premises.

Also cant get online very well. keeps stopping. Can't ring plusnet helpline as not working, just tells you come online.

 

Can you help / advise

Hello there @GrahamDB

I'm sorry you've had some trouble with your phone line and connection, please accept my sincerest apologies for the frustration cause. 

On testing your connection today a loop fault has been detected, this generally means an equipment/internal issue. Please unplug

  • Any phones you have connected to the phone sockets
  • The router and the microfilter from the phone sockets
  • Any other devices connected to the phoneline
  • Disconnected the faceplate from the master socket 

Once you've done this please come back on this thread letting me know and I'll retest the line from there.
