New line installed but still not activated...

Hi, I had a BT engineer install a new line at my house yesterday morning and was hoping to be up & running with my phone and BB by now but nothing so far... So I called plusnet 1st thing this morning and was told it will be activated today but I'm still eagerly waiting for the magic to happen! Huh
Just wondering how long does it typically take to have phone & BB activated after a new line has been installed?

do you have a dial tone - if not then you are waiting for BT Openreach to do the necessary work at the exchange

Oh right, no I don't have a dial tone as yet.. but being a weekend now are BTopenreach likely to get it sorted at the exchange today? Feels like I may have to wait a little while longer.

the engineer does need to do some wire connecting at your local exchange sometimes... anyway i assume your broadband is live by now though :]
