New Customer - landline not activated on date promised - not a good start

I'm a new customer to Plusnet having moved from Sky and I've already got the feeling I've made a big mistake.  Plusnet were supposed to activate my landline yesterday but the line remains silent.  I've had no contact from them in any shape or form to explain what the delay might be. Not a happy bunny.

It looks like there's a delay on the phone order.
Leave it with me and I'll get it chased up.

The engineers are still working at the exchange to bring your line back onto the BT Network.
It should be done by the end of play today.

Thank you Matthew.  I've never been without a landline before and I've changed ISPs a few times over the years.  Fingers crossed!

Not sure if 'end of play today' meant around teatime but my line is still dead and it's now 7.30pm.

Well it's now 8am Saturday morning and my third day without a landline.  More fool me for thinking the poor reviews were exaggerated.

Well it's 8am on Sunday morning and my landline is still not connected.
It's not like I'm asking for the earth - just the service that I signed up for.
Plusnet are in breach of contract and I am fast losing patience now.
I'm also fast running out of data on my mobile phone package.

Well it's day 4 - my landline is still not activated and my mobile data allowance is dwindling fast.  I am a very unhappy NEW customer and my service hasn't even started yet!

Anyone know if I can cancel this contract without penalty?  I signed up for landline & broadband & anytime calls.  Plusnet have not provided any of these service.  If not, how long must I wait before Plusnet are in breach of contract and I can change to another provider?

Back again!  Trying to connect to broadband.  The internet light is red on my router.  Have done factory reset and it makes no difference.  Any suggestions?
