My phone number in a different address according to BT database...

I had an interesting call from BT Infinity sales team. She said my exchange was recently upgraded and according to her line check she could guarantee me 72 Mb download speed.
I said the BTW site only gives me an estimate of 34 Mb. Then she looked up and came back to me that my home phone number was attached to another address according to their database. And at my address speed estimate is rightly 34 Mb - d/l & 6 Mb - u/l.
My phone is with Virgin at this very moment. It will be moved to Plusnet next week.
Is this something to be concerned about?

Probably, yes.
When I moved from Claranet to PN for broadband, there was a delay as BT's records showed me as being at a different address.
PN advised that I would have to contact BT to correct it, and that was no picnic!

It's something that I'm following up on and once I've got more information I'll let you know. It's not the cause of your current issue though.
