The agent who did it for me had several goes before it worked, and as I said it's flaky and no one seems to fully understand the vagaries of why it sometime goes wrong. Asking them to predict and give guarantees is a step to far IMHO

As I genuinely did not understand what was being suggested by clearing it from my account and adding it again (compared with the previously tried 'resets') , I just wanted to make sure that my contract and conditions don't change if I accept what Ben suggested.
If that has 'frightened them off, then it's disappointing to say the least. Despite it being at least 10 weeks now, I have remained polite and grateful for any help. The only sentiment I have expressed is disappointment and frustration, and the lack of reply isn't very encouraging

What Ben has suggested wouldn't make any difference as whether or not caller display shows on our systems does not affect how it works, it's purely there for reference and account management.
I've asked Matthew to look at this again and follow up the manual faults we've raised.
I'm really sorry this is still ongoing 😕

but I would also like to understand the option that Ben was offering.
I believe some kind of 'reset' has been tried at least twice, but in Ben's recent post, he suggested removing it completely from my account and then having it added as a new service. If this is different to the previous resets and might work, then of course I would agree. I just needed to understand that it wouldn't affect the rest of my PN service.

Can you please tell me what is happening with my loss of caller ID display?
My support question appears to have been closed, and yet the issue has not been resolved.
Please, please, can someone clarify what is going on? If you cannot fix it, why won't you just tell me so?
I have been polite and patient for the past 2 1/2 months, now it just seems to have been closed with no explanation. Really disappointed in this.

For info, I could see that you just did a reset of my line, that seems to happen each time I post here for an update, but I can promise you that does NOT fix it. I really hope the engineer can find something.

Personally, I think that would be a good idea - allocate to a particular staff member if a problem is not resolved in a set time.
Anyway, ever hopeful, let's see what the next 24hrs brings

It was being checked within 24hrs, that was 4 days ago, and still no caller ID at this end.
