Again thanks - re the contractor liaising with Openreach and electricians and security company - I agree they should, however they said up front that they do not do any liaising.

You are very welcome for my input, I tried to explain the pit falls if the work is not carried out correctly, If the contractor organized the work and something went wrong they would be held responsible so I can see their view, (I have come across instances where the dropwire clamp has been re fixed to the bargeboard on a bent over nail Shocked )  so I would recommend HarryB`s suggestions and contact OR.
