Moving phone to plusnet. Do I need to tell BT?

My phone is being moved to plusnet on the 12th Sept. Do I need to inform BT or will plusnet see to everything? Before deciding to move I had checked with BT to make sure that I wasn't in a contract.

You should receive a letter from BT saying something like - Sorry you are leaving us why don't you look at our wonderful products.
You don't need to do anything unless you don't receive a letter then I would call them a day or so before the transfer

I didn't contact them at all - just made sure that the DD was cancelled once they'd taken their final payment.

Before moving line to Plusnet I used to pay BT by quarterly DD and was impressed when they cancelled it after taking final payment.

not only did they cancel my DD, but they sent me a rebate

The phone transfer seems to have gone smoothly so many thanks Plusnet for that..
As pierre pierre and greyposter I am owed a rebate by BT. Can anyone give me an idea as to how long this will take please? I don't think it will be settled too quickly but I was wondering what time scale to expect.
