Moving from BT to Primus

Hello all,
I'm considering moving from BT to Primus line rental when my BT line rental contract is up.
Do I need to contact PlusNet to inform you that I am switching or will it all happen without effecting my broadband?
Cheers.

Re: Moving from BT to Primus

You would need to contact Primus and ask them if they provide a WLR (Wholesale Line Rental) or full LLU phone service to supply the telephone.
If they use WLR, there would be no need to contact us and the service should not be impacted. If they use full LLU, they would be moving you physically off BT equipment and broadband would likely be terminated as a result.

Re: Moving from BT to Primus

Primus use both, but it will depend on whether LLU is available at your exchange anyway. If you want to keep Plusnet BB make sure that you state that you want WLR and that there is a BB service on the line and you don't want it affected. Make sure you confirm that in writing/email. There have been a few stories where people claim to have been slammed.
