Moving from BT to PlusNet - >> who cancels BT

Hiya
Just had a BT phone line connected to new property after looong a 6 month wait and lots of BS from BT.
Now in the process of moving line rental to to PlusNet and have signed up for BB and phone with PlusNet too.
Just wondering who cancels BT account?
Do I need to get on the blower to BT and cancel, or do PlusNet cancel previous BT landline and rental as I've moved services to them?
Thanks
Stef

In theory it should cancel automatically but it's worth chasing BT to make sure - This is your responsibility and there's nothing PN can do as you are BT's customer, not them
If you've just had a line put in though, aren't you under a 12 month minimum contract with BT?

k, thanks, will give them a buzz.
Yep 12 month contract, but it started a while ago (when we ordered the service).
Also BT have credited us 6 months line rental... which more than covers their early termination fees.

I'd hold off calling them until the line has migrated - You don't want them cancelling early!
