Messaging/Voicemail question.

I have just moved home & have kept my number, I just noticed that the phone go's to a messaging service after about six rings, I do not have messaging/voicemail as an add-on with my phone, is this service part of Plusnet or BT, and how do I disable it?

1571 is a costed extra on PN, not a lot though

According to this page, voicemail is free, https://portal.plus.net/support/phone/call_features.shtml
I don't have it activated on my control panel, but it is active on my phone.

HI joem52,
We definitely don't charge for the basic voicemail feature. I can see that it's not in your call features but it looks like it's activated on BT's system. Would you like me to turn it off?

Hi Jojo,
I got an email from Jenny from support@plus.net, saying "We have placed the order to remove the voicemail feature from your line" it is now turned off.
