I had a silent call from a number starting with 0506.....
I googled the number (whole number: 0506 8614379) and hit upon the info that this was a re-call to a MITM attack.
I diverted the number to my 1572 list.
Here my question:
Does anybody know more about this/these number(s) and what is an MITM attack and am I protected by and through Plusnet?
Google has quite a lot of info on MITM attacks: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man-in-the-middle_attack
It's an online attack similar to a DOS so don't worry this isn't something that could affect you over a phone call.
We do provide a "call protect" service in case this continues to be an issue: https://www.plus.net/help/phone/stop-nuisance-calls/
