MAAF Talk

It seems that MAAF Talk is coming into line with the Plusnet talk as of 1/1/2010. as per email from
Anthony Vollmer, CEO Madasafish. [Email ref: E_200912vat_13]
0845 and 0870 free calls.
What’s also interesting for MAAF customers is the invitation to 3 months free Anytime calls. Smiley
Unfortunately the link to register does not go anywhere other than the log in page. So I have no idea how to register. I have raised a ticket 31077274 but last look they had not got a clue Roll_eyes
Perhaps Mand will know more regards how one can register? She seems to know a lot Wink
Also of interest in the email  it states “Inclusive calls to Madasafish support anytime”  its not an 0845 number [0844 395 0830] could this be a mistake?

Re: MAAF Talk

When you get the login screen, enter your username and password (they need to know who you are to upgrade you), and then you will get the details and an "Upgrade Now" button.  Click on that and you will get a page saying it's done (well from your next billing date anyway).

Re: MAAF Talk

Thanks for reply Phil.
Its not an upgrade. The invitaion email is for exisiting Talk Anytime customers on MAAF for 3 months free.
Its just that the link takes you to log in and even when you are in there does not seem to be a place for you to register. Unless i missed something

Re: MAAF Talk

Oops sorry, didn't realise that.  My details are taken from a similar email I have for Plusnet Talk Evening & Weekends with 3 months free upgrade to Anytime.  I was thinking it was the same offer!  Embarrassed

Re: MAAF Talk

Hi Phil, it most likely a similar email.register link goes to log in then when in a blank page.
This is what the email says
We also wanted to let you know that we're revamping our Talk service in January. We're reducing the price of Talk Anytime from £5.90 to £5.00 and adding in some great new features to both our Talk Plans.
To celebrate we're offering 3 months FREE Anytime calls to our existing Talk Free and Talk Anytime customers*. To sign up all you need to do is register below and we'll do the rest. If you're a Talk Free customer we'll send you a reminder before the offer ends too, so you can decide if you'd like to keep Anytime calls or swap back.
Its an interesting offer if you can get to register

Re: MAAF Talk

I've just been told the latest on this and we should have a fix for this live within the next day or so, it's only affecting MAAF customers who used to be on different VISPs (eg FreeNetName, Care4Free etc).

I'll give you a shout when it's resolved. Smiley
I'd do it for you, but you have to accept the terms.

Re: MAAF Talk

Couldn't you raise a ticket with the terms and ask him to respond to the ticket accepting the terms?

Re: MAAF Talk

Not until the problem is fixed no. And as responding to a ticket requires logging into the portal and then waiting for me to do it manually it'd be quicker to click the link and tick a box. Wink

Re: MAAF Talk

Many thanks to Mand, look forward to the fix and hearing from you.
Whilst i wait can you answere this
Also of interest in the email  it states “Inclusive calls to Madasafish support anytime” as its an 0844 395 0830 number and not 0845, how will this be effected as calls to this number are charged
Thanks for your continued support

Calls made to the MAAF support number will be free. All other 0844 numbers will be charged at standard rates.
