Line rental saver unavailable

I want to add line rental saver to my account, it makes sense to me because we don't use the phone line at all and the small saving we'd get is better in our pocket than in Plusnet’s 🙂

However, when I access the page to set this up, here:

https://www.plus.net/apps/linerental/saver/portal

I get the message:

You can't add Line Rental Saver for the moment. Unfortunately Customer Centre Members will not be able to do this for you either.

I've been seeing this for approximately two weeks. I have tried to open a chat session twice today, only to find that this is disabled, and I can only phone to get support. I really don't want to be hanging on the phone - how can I get this sorted out?

Hi there.

I'm sorry to see you're unable to take out line rental saver. Unfortunately this is because there's a pending change on your account which is related to this: https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=view_question&id=190748968

If you try again the day after your next bill is generated, you should be able to pay line rental saver then.

The problem there is that when making that change I told the agent that I would also be adding LRS, and if I do it the day after my next bill I'll be paying for another month of standard line rental (and the bundled calls) that I don't want.
