Line cord error

HI

I've been getting a line cord error message all day, no ring tone and no one can call in.  I have searched the forum and the other similar issues haven't given an answer that has solved the problem.

Broadband seems ok,  I've unplugged everything and plugged back in,  tried another phone,  and tried to do a line test which throws up an error page.  I've been on hold for over 30 mins now and not got through to anyone (using my mobile)  Seems all the advisors are very busy this afternoon.

I need this phone line to be working,  anyone got any ideas? TIA

Its a strange one I can't imagine there been a problem with the line if your broadband is still working could you change the micro filter??

I eventually got through to a person on the phone (used mobile :)) and their is a problem at the exchange. They had an engineer out to look but this morning it's still saying line cord error
