Thanks all. Just had an agent respond concurring with the above so will be on the higher rate of £137.88.
Interesting that some say 3 months and maybe rather than switching the COT could provide incentive to stay put.

You can renew 3 months before it's due, irrespective of when the reminder is sent.

Re: Line Rental Saver early renewal

Confusion reigns supreme then.... I have asked PN agents and keep getting the 'email reminder' response.

Re: Line Rental Saver early renewal

Just do it online using the link posted earlier on this thread, http://www.plus.net/rentalsaver. That's what I and others have done. It seems the Plusnet agents need some training.

I'm sure COT can offer something....

My LRS ends in late January 2014 so cannot renew yet.  Just tried COT as per this advice... the best they could offer was a £1.50 per month saving on the broadband but only if I signed up for a 2 year contract.  They wouldn't budge on the LRS - said I would definitely have to pay the increased rate which comes in tomorrow.  I'm not keen on 2 year contracts with the way prices seem to be heading down, so didn't bother.  Will keep an eye on the market over the next couple of months - there seem to be better deals than Plusnet out there.  So much for loyalty!

Re: Line Rental Saver early renewal

We had this same conversation 12 months ago when an increase was announced
It is definitely 3 months in advance when you can renew
There would be a trend started here that price increases will occur in October

No luck yet so will miss out but thanks all the same. No interest in 2 year contracts either but no rush to renew as no benefit in doing  so which gives time to take stock of what's out there in the way of phone provision (I have anytime calls).

Still confused as you originally said your LRS expired at "the end of December" so you should have been able to renew today - unless you literally meant 31st December which, as I suggested earlier, might not work.

Re: Line Rental Saver early renewal

I am informed it expires 1st Jan on the link so just missing out - miss as good as a mile as the saying goes.

Re: Line Rental Saver early renewal

Well that's cutting it fine, you probably win the prize for the last renewal at the old price, well done! Smiley
