Line Rental - Cancellation of pervious provider

Hello,

I've just upgraded my broadband to fibre and opted to take out line rental with Plusnet - previously this was with Millennium Talk.

Do I need to contact Millennium Talk about the change or will Plusnet do that?

Many thanks
Martin

Fix

Hi Martin,

A warm welcome to the forums.  Whatever you do, please do not tell your current supplier, just let the "gaining supplier led" process play out.

Far too many migrations go wrong from users telling their existing supplier that they are leaving on day X...

  • The migration date can change due to BT engineer availability or issues with BT's databases
  • Telling the existing supplier could cause them to place a cancelation order on the line which inhibits any other provider from placing orders until the line is ceased, with the risk of losing your phone number and possibly your broadband

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

In addition to Towman's post I've sent you an e-mail with more info.

Let us know how this goes.
