Landline

Landline phone doesn’t seem to be getting any power through. It is a BT cordless with an answering machine.

Do you mean no 'power' from the line - that is - no dial tone.

Or do you mean no mains power to the cordless base unit - that is - no lights or display.

If you want the best seat in the house, move the cat

It seems like no mains power. I ve checked all the cables and plug and they all seem to be in correctly.

OK. The prime suspect would be the power supply. Worth checking the fuse in the plug first though - with a meter, or swapping with another appliance. If the fuse is OK...

Do you have a multimeter, or know anyone who could test the DC output of the power supply?
