Landline Provision

I am currently with PN with a Broadband and phone package

I am going to change the fibre broadband to mobile broadband (2x speed) but I want to retain the landline

Can PN continue to provide this phone  and what is the rental cost ?

Re: Landline Provision

Fix

In a word, @bures  - no. PN, like the majority of ISPs these days, only do combined broadband and phone packages. So far as I know, only BT (of the big players, do phone only - or they did last time I had cause to look, maybe 12 months ago.

Re: Landline Provision

Thanks for being so quick

That confirms why I can see no mention on the PN website
Only really want if for incoming calls, so BT`s high rental out of the question
I will use my mobile number instead

Probably try and figure out how a VOIP works with a Mobile Router

Re: Landline Provision

Moving the number to VoIP is the right answer and VoIP will work over mobile internet much the same as everything else does over fixed line internet.  The important consideration is that the mobile internet needs to be always on.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Landline Provision

Thanks for the info on VOIP

Presumably I have to join someone like Sipgate
